I just received this mat. I don't normally write reviews, but this just seems like a good product, at the right price, with fast service. I'm 6'2'' and about 200 lbs and this mat is the right size. I did some research and if you're looking for a large mat I recommend you save yourself some time and go ahead and get this one. My only concern is that I got it because I'm sliding around on my carpet and I wonder if this will be sticky enough. But there's always a concern (especially with these online reviews). It doesn't seem to be any less sticky than any of the other mats I've checked out. Good product.

While it feels a bit odd to rate a mat as "excellent" -- after all, it has no moving parts, isn't a work of art, it just lies there on the floor -- I'm giving this five stars because it is exactly what it says it is and what I needed: extra wide, extra long and extra thick. I use it for yoga and other floor work, including ab workouts.
Yes, it came out of its wrapping smelling a bit like a petroleum product. But I simply unrolled it and hung it up on my back porch overnight (on an unseasonably cold, 40-degree evening) and the odor was, for all intents and purposes, gone. Unless, of course, I'm lying face down with my nose literally touching the mat -- but, under such conditions, I've never met a yoga mat or towel or hardwood floor that didn't smell just a little funky. Sorta comes with the territory, y'know?!

This mat is terrific for several reasons. I love the extra length and extra width, even though I am only of average height and and smaller in stature for a woman. I do not slip off the mat, and do not end up on the floor, even in wide stretches. It is a bit heavier than a smaller mat. But, that is a tiny negative when compared to the many positives.
