They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Basic yet effective. July 7, 2010 DarkSideEwok 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this bike in early june and received the next day, thanks to Amazon Prime.
The set up was very simple. I used my own wrenches as they made things easy as cake. I ordered an extra schwinn padded seat, which still remains uncomfortable to this day. The bike itself is very simple and very effective. There are a few program modes that range in difficulty.
The bike itself has no problems. I tighten the seat adjustment knob before each time I ride the bike just to make sure everything has remained tight. I love the heart rate monitors.
My only gripes with the bike are:
-the seat is painful to sit on
-there is no rest for magazines or books or an mp3 player
-i like to lean forward when I ride, and the horizontal portion where one could rest their forearms is not padded much, which makes it painful
-wish the lcd screen was illuminated
All in all I have lost 11 lbs in under 30 days. I went into buying an exercise bike that was under $200 and that would serve its purpose:
-monitor heart rate
-monitor distance
-monitor time
This bike has done that. It is definitely not fancy, but it is very efficient!
not good June 28, 2010 Evelyn I bought a Schwinn Active 10 bike, but the computer/program went wrong just after warranty ended. The company said this part was not produced by themself, and asked for about $60 to send a replaced one.
Fantastic price and product June 2, 2010 N. Gentilli (Folsom, CA United States) What a perfect price for an at home bike for a brand you can trust. I want to get back into shape and cannot afford the gym anymore. This bike fits perfectly in our small family room so I have no excuse not to ride this smooth and quiet bike while watching tv. My husband had no trouble at all putting it together.
Okay for the price May 28, 2010 S. Chaston Pros
Takes up a relatively minor footprint in terms of space
Easy to move
Adequate resistance levels
Cons
Seat wobbles loose after a couple of rides and we have to screw it back in
Most of the parameters on our electronic console don't work (speed, distance, calories burned), but I don't think that we'll really bother with the hassle of sending it back because we're more concerned with time than anything else
Seat height is not super easy to adjust
Seat is a bit hard
In general I would say it's a pretty decent bike for a cycling novice like me and I can't really complain.
Very good, but May 5, 2010 O. jaisini (nyc) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Would be the best if not the seat. Its to hard, but bike is a dream so far;)
